I feel like I have higher (or at least narrower) standards than most other girls. It sucks, because I've ended up alone while they are happily paired off. I think if being "proactive" isn't in your character, don't force it. You want to eventually be with someone who loves you for you and that won't happen if you find him while your out of character. It is indeed a weird feeling when everybody your age starts getting married... I am going through that myself and it just seems sort of unfair (just for us) that while other people already enjoyed the ride and tied the knot with their other half... we are still standing in line... going crazy and wondering if our ticket is still good.
